Our revamped shop
With Covid-19 likely to impact on events and workshops for some time, we have been productive during lockdown thinking of how best to develop our second gallery area. The result is our new ‘SSW Shop’, which has undergone a complete refit and is now a permanent retail space to support the gallery. Divided into a small gallery area, and a bespoke shop space, we hope many of you will visit and take pleasure in the changes we’ve made.
The products sold in the new SSW Shop are all handmade by regional artists and makers, and we believe that our first Spring/Summer SSW Shop Collection includes items which you will find useful, engaging and fun! We have selected products in a wide range of media to reflect the diversity and broad skill sets of our artistic community. Some relate to our beautiful gallery location, in the shadow of Colmer’s Hill. We also stock a range of ‘SSW’ branded art materials, such as sketchbooks, drawing pencils and travel journals, which we hope to expand. We hope that the shop will become a popular destination for people buying gifts or special pieces for their homes, as every item bought will help support Lyme Bay Arts.
The vast majority of shop items can also be bought online through the Sou’-Sou’-West Gallery website, and many will be promoted and are available for sale via our new Instagram and Facebook ecommerce platforms. This allows our customers to connect in a different way with our gallery exhibitions and the beautiful pieces in the shop, and we have been delighted to make some ‘click and collect’ sales during the most recent lockdown thanks to the added online exposure.

and of course we hope to see you in person for a browse.
